Remembering a Time on a Sunnie Day
54
Remembering a time,
When there was just you and me.
Bare foot and gentle breezes,
Calling us to play,
Amongst, fields of gold.
No other thoughts,
In this world,
We had created.
Only the sweet kisses,
That lay upon our lips,
Silencing the world outside,
Hearing only the sounds,
Of our two hearts beating.
Love was born that early summer.
Feelings gracefully rested,
Upon our hearts,
Causing two young lovers,
To dance in the fields of gold.
Lying in the grass so sweet,
Fingers,
Playfully, touching,
Senses awaken to each kiss.
In your eyes, I saw forever,
As the sun,
Magically,
Caressed our souls,
Causing feelings,
We have never felt before.
Please remember me,
When you walk through the fields of gold.
Feel my touch in the gentle wind,
Hear my laughter,
As it sings through the trees,
Like a sweet lullaby.
Never forgetting our love,
Forever written,
On the pages,
Of my heart.

Beautiful poem, beautiful photo, beautiful music! What more can I say? I voted this UP, etc.etc.
Such a beautiful poem, Sunnie. And Eva Cassidy's rendition of Fields of Gold is the best, an excellent singer, like an angel. The sweetness of your poem reflected the tone of the song so well.
Nice poem..Thanks a lot
Hi Sunnie
Walking through the fields of gold. Breathtaking beautiful and poignant.
Voted up and away!
So very beautiful Sunnie as always told in your own sweet and caring style.
The song one of my favourites too.
I have to award the up up and away.
Take care my dear friend and enjoy your day.
Eddy.
Eva Cassidy and fields of gold one of my favourite artists and songs, perfect with your beautiful poem of love.
Voting up and awesome!
Dear Sunnie-You just uplifted my day with this beautiful poem about love. You picked the perfect song to go with this poem.
Sweet love... Philia... friendship and sharing rule. I experienced this kind of love 10 years ago with an extra-ordinary soft-hearted man. But my love for him slowly died during the 2 years we were together, because he was a racists and I could not accommodate his remarks towards the non-whites in our country. One day I simply exploded and left him. And to think he considered himself a Christian. So yes, Sunnie, I identify with you in this poem, but with sadness because it is just another 'could have been' in my life.
It is almost 3am - Maybe I should rather call it a day. Take care!
Beautiful Sunnie..Remembering love..Wonderful..The song is perfect!!
This is a beautiful version of the song - I usually can't hear it without feeling a lump in my throat. And just the words alone, 'fields of gold' give me such a thrill, I'm not surprised you were so inspired.
I love what you've done with these feelings and memories. I ain't 'zac'ly one those who's good at analysing poetry, but this one moved me enough to tell you that I liked it :) I think we all have some memories like this, though we can't all put them into such beautiful verse as this. I have dreams like this, very often - sometimes of memories, and sometimes brand new. Your poem has brought a few of them back to the surface - lovely, thank you.
Linda.
SD - You are absolutely marvelous my dear.
The song sets the mood to read this beautiful piece.

A beautiful poem from a beautiful writer! :)
Beautiful poem ignited by sweet memories.
The nostalgia of new found love. Such a wonderful and well written poem. It reminds me of an innocence of two people who fondly adore one another.
Beautiful Sunnie, tender and touching and teamed with the perfect song.

Morning Sunnie.
Lovely poem.
I have only heard "Sting" sing Fields Of Gold untill now. This is a beautiful version of a beautiful song from a beautiful woman taken away at such a young age of 33 years.
I'm sure that she is looking down and reading your wonderful poem and saying thank you Sunnie.
Take care and have a nice day.

Another ray of warmth and love from our lovely Sunnie.

Hello Sunnie. This poetry is like a time machine for me. Just a trace of memory of these lost times remain. The eyes are gone and the ink has faded - oh, sorry, just limbering up for Valentines.
Dear Sunnie,
This song was indeed the perfect inspiration for a subject that you expressed with purity, tenderness and perfection.
Just lovely- voted UP & AB. Hugs, Maria
Lovely. I also love Eva Cassidy .... Voted up!
Ah....what a lovely treat this poem and the accompanying photos are.
You also chose the perfect song for this hub.
Voted up, useful, awesome and beautiful.
Simply beautiful with memories divine. Among the fields of gold indeed, two hearts wanting to stay forever and making those sweet promises to each other. When two can keep those promises made, they have a chance of staying together until the end like the movie."Notebook" how we all wish for that. Voted up and heart wrenching, thank you for this wonderful hub, loved the video, it fit perfectly. Hugs xo
