A Man's Conversation with God
66
Throwing my fists in the air,
Like an uncivilized wild man,
I am calling out to you!
Do you hear me God?
I cannot hear you!
Let me ask one more time!
Do you hear me God?
Can you even see me?
I am but a small ant down here.
Do you even care?
I have heard that you feel every heartbeat of man.
If this is true?
Do you hear mine beating?
I have to tell you my anger is great!
My heart is beating very fast!
Is it true you know the hairs on my head?
I laugh at this thought!
Have you counted every one?
This is hard for me to fathom!
However,
You are God!
I have wondered this earth for many years, in hopes of finding love.
I yearned for love from family, my friends, my lovers, and yes even myself.
What is it that you say?
You have always loved me?
Maybe I just did not know!
You did not tell me anything about this love.
Yes..I know, you gave me a warm bed in which to lay my head.
And uh...yes...you covered my body from the elements.
Okay I hear you...yes... you fed my belly when others were begging for crumbs.
So am I truly selfish?
I know I grumble and growl!
Throwing my fists towards heaven,
Cursing and crying is just the way I am.
I am sorry God but did you say,
"Oh how little I am. Woe is me!"
Are you mocking me God?
Oh that was me talking...sorry...
GOD SAYS loudly, "ENOUGH!"
Okay God...you have my attention, I am listening now.
I hear you God!
What you are telling me is truly amazing.
.
I was created, and loved from the start while yet in my mothers womb!
I am your creation, his art, his love.
I am sorry God for not realizing your love towards me.
Oh what a wretched man I am,
That only a God like you,
Could take a man like me,
And still...
Love me.

Sunnie, Humorous and insightful, which is one of your trademarks! It's so easy to complain, which festers ever-widening circles of complaints. Enough is enough, especially when the comforts are being buried and forgotten under the pile of gripes.
Excellent.
Kind regards, Stessily
I had to laugh at myself when I read this because it describes my early days of faith so well. I never heard God audibly say "Enough!" but in His Word I read enough, over and over. That He is enough and that I am too, in His eyes.
This was just perfect!
Faith in God...lest us never forget....Another good piece of work, Sunnie.
Touching and funny at the same time - with an important message. God is always there.
Lovely Poem.
So powerful but gentle at the same time.
I have my belief and my faith no matter what; so yes I can relate to this one Sunnie.
Many speak of the gift of forgiving but there have been very many bad people in my life since I was a little girl; and I will never forgive;and this is my right.
However I have thrown them in my' garbage can' where I have overpowered and they and their deeds are not important! I succeeded, they didn't!!They may try brief visits from time to time but they know they are not welcome anymore and depart almost immediately.
This one brought much food for thought and that is good because it helps me to gather my thoughts etc and realise how I have moved forward in my own way.
Briiliant work my friend.
Take care and enjoy your day.
Eddy.
oh wow! this is awesome. so powerful
I love this conversation and I believe that God will lead the way...amen!

Hi Sunnie,
God is love.
GOD SAYS loudly, "ENOUGH!" I can imagine him saying , "Quit your whining." lol
Vote up up and away!
Very moving conversation. Loved it when God says "Enough"!!
Thanks for the nice post..awesome
Sunnie Day,
I really needed to read this today. As much as I love God, I sometimes get so frustrated with religion and what people do in the name of God. I needed to be reminded just how simple it is that He is the father and I am the child.
Thank you,
Krystal
Sunnie: I loved the poem and I especially loved and enjoyed the video. Thank you! The video actually reminded me of one of my hubs A letter written by God to his child, you and me. I can't remember the exact title of my hub but it is there if you careto lok it up.
Another faith filled hub. Sometimes we forget to wait on God and forge ahead, getting lost at times. He is always there..Thank you Sunnie..I needed this today....
Whether you or I are right in our beliefs - or lack of them - I will say one thing, Sunnie.
You exemplify the very best in what we often hear described as "Christian Values." You talked of my poem as being "powerful," but nothing has more persuasive force for the good than someone who leads by example, as you do. You are one of the most loved and respected writers in Hub Pages

What a beautiful, meaning filled poem. Again, I am impressed by your faith.
Hi Sunnie.
An amazing hub With many questions for each of us to ask and many answers are given. You've just got to look harder. I've just read it the third time an still find new pieces.
Take care Sunnie
LOL Ghaelach
Hi Sunnie! Sorry I have been away for awhile but it is nice to come back to such a powerful hub. Truly powerful! Voted up, up and away!
More bootless cries, I am afraid. The Higgs Boson isn't answering as usual.
"Although I'm sorry (poor little things),
No time to save sparrows; mend butterfly wings."
An exerpt from one of my poems addressing "God." and his answer

I am speechless! This is absolutely amazing! I cried when watching the video! This hub really blessed and touched me! Vote way up!
This was a very beautiful inspiring Poem, Sunnie. We might be like a tiny ant, but I think He hears our prayers. Thanks for this.
Faith is the most difficult of sentiments. The faith you display is remarkable. My conversation goes something like this, ‘oy vie, my turn again’.
Sunnie you out did your self..simply wonderful...it is true God always loved us first...I vvoted up....debbie
Sunnie, these are thoughts that I have quite often. Wonderful poem, voted up and shared.
I think all of those thoughts are real to most people....I think many of us, at some point in time, have thrown our fists up and wondered...
and I think we get the very response you just gave....humbled.
this is AWESOME Sunnie!!
Chris
Sunnie, I hear all your words and adore the way your heart and soul believes, but for me, not an atheist, but my vision is somewhat cloudy. I used to be a believer before my mum took her own life, but not any more. I can read the hope in your words and the love and, everyday I talk with you, your love of your fellow man is so obvious. I will go away and think some more for reading your inspirational hub. But, I can't promise.
Much love,
Net

I really love this. I will be sharing this on my facebook page. Thanks so much for reminding me again ...
haha...I could relate to the above. Many a times, I have thrown up my hands and said...why me!
And, I hear him say...hmmm. Ponder over your deeds and you will realize it...lol
Good reminder Sunnie. Voted up as useful.
Yea! The comment section! I really like this hub. It is so reflective of what many of us must feel at times. Crying out, asking why or where are you, God, not realizing that He's always been there. Many votes on this one, inicluding up!
Love is such a powerful thing! Your love for God shines through in every word here!
This is amazing! There are lessons to be learned from this man's poem. God always hears us. We don't always hear Him. Thank you so much for this inspiring work.
